The Stereotypes
Music Director, 2013-2015
All-Male A Cappella @ Washington University in St. Louis
The Stereotypes are a versatile, energetic, and award-winning a cappella group from Washington University in St. Louis. The ensemble sings everything: from Franz Biebl’s Ave Maria and “Defying Gravity” from Wicked, to Top 40, classic rock, and barbershop
Being a group called "The Stereotypes," we each had a stereotype we embodied: I was Mr. Starving Artist. We were pretty goofy. We wore rainbow ties. Our Winter concert was an all-male beauty pageant where we all competed for the title of “Mr. Stereotype” (complete with a tiara). But we also sang from our hearts. This group helped form me into the musician that I am today.
